The Seagate Skyhawk and Barracuda are designed for different purposes. The Skyhawk is optimized for surveillance systems, with features like enhanced reliability and workload management, making it better suited for continuous recording and playback. On the other hand, the Barracuda is a general-purpose drive, offering high performance and storage capacity for everyday computing needs. So, whether the Skyhawk is better than the Barracuda depends on the specific use case and requirements of the user. **

Yes, an external Seagate 2TB hard drive can download games and updates in rest mode on the PS4. When the PS4 is in rest mode, it can still perform background tasks such as downloading and installing updates, games, and other content. As long as the hard drive is properly connected and set up as the default download location, it will continue to download content even when the PS4 is in rest mode. **

The Seagate Barracuda 2TB may be making strange noises when specific programs like SiSoft Sandra or Ashampoo HDD Control are running due to the increased workload on the hard drive. These programs may be accessing the hard drive more intensively, causing it to produce unusual sounds. It is possible that the noise is a result of the hard drive working harder to process the tasks requested by these programs, leading to audible vibrations or mechanical sounds. It is important to monitor the hard drive's health and performance to ensure it is functioning properly and consider seeking professional assistance if the noises persist or worsen. **

2TB hard drives are more expensive than 2TB USB sticks because hard drives have more complex internal components, such as spinning disks and read/write heads, which require more advanced technology and manufacturing processes. On the other hand, USB sticks have simpler and more compact designs, making them cheaper to produce. Additionally, hard drives are designed for long-term storage and continuous use, while USB sticks are typically used for temporary data storage and transfer, so the demand and market for each product also play a role in their pricing. **

I recommend the Samsung 870 QVO 2TB SSD. It offers a large storage capacity and fast read/write speeds, making it ideal for storing and accessing large files and applications. It also comes with a 3-year limited warranty, ensuring reliability and peace of mind. Additionally, it is competitively priced compared to other 2TB SSDs on the market. **

Seagate hard drives have received mixed reviews from users. While some people have had positive experiences with Seagate drives in terms of performance and reliability, others have reported issues such as drive failures and data loss. It is important to note that all hard drive brands can have their own set of problems, and it ultimately depends on individual experiences and preferences. Conducting thorough research and considering factors such as warranty, customer support, and user feedback can help in making an informed decision when choosing a hard drive. **

Without more information or details about the specific issue with the Seagate external hard drive, it is difficult to determine if it is broken. Common signs of a broken external hard drive include unusual noises, failure to power on, or inability to access data. It is recommended to troubleshoot the device by trying different cables, ports, or connecting it to another computer to see if the issue persists before concluding that it is broken. If the problem persists, contacting Seagate customer support or a professional technician for further assistance may be necessary. **

The Seagate hard drive may be beeping due to a mechanical failure, such as a malfunctioning motor or read/write head. It could also be a sign of a power issue, such as a failing power supply or insufficient power being supplied to the drive. Additionally, the beeping could indicate a problem with the drive's firmware or software. It is important to diagnose the issue promptly to prevent data loss and further damage to the hard drive. **
